Bioethics -- APM's Bioethics SIG listserv

About this list

This is the listserv for APM's Bioethics SIG, whose mission is to bring together like-minded psychosomatic medicine psychiatrists who seek to address ethical challenges and dilemmas in the care of patients, and to promote the teaching of bioethics.

To see the collection of prior postings to the list, visit the Bioethics Archives. The archives are accessible only to current listserv subscribers.

About Passwords

The listserv management program used by APM generates a password for every unique email. That is, if you are subscribed to more than one APM list, the same password will permit you access to all of them when used in conjunction with your subscriber email.

The password is NOT the same as your APM password.

To obtain your password, enter your email in the email field at the bottom of this page and click the 'Unsubscribe or edit options' button. There is an option on the subsequent page for requesting your password.

Using this list
To post a message to all the list members, send email to bioethics@list.apm.org.

The email you have registered with your APM Member profile is that to which emails are sent and received. You cannot send a posting to this list from a different email than the one we have associated with your APM profile (it will be automatically rejected).

Need to change your email? APM Members: log-on to the APM website at (https://www.clpsychiatry.org/member-resources/) and update your profile with a new email. Non-APM members: please email the APM executive office at info@apm.org and we will modify your subscription email for you.

Email changes are not instant, but will post to the listserv around midnight US Eastern Time each night.

AOL/Yahoo
Due to email handling policies enabled by AOL and Yahoo, emails from these addresses may behave in unexpected ways, including emails not being processed correctly by the listserv; emails being uncontrollably deleted or discarded; messages displaying incorrectly; causing distribution problems with the list; causing disruption to other users; or interfering with list email distribution. We strongly encourage AOL and Yahoo customers to use a different email if you have one available. To change your email address: APM Members: log-on to the APM website at (https://www.clpsychiatry.org/member-resources/) and update your profile with a new email. Non-APM members: please email the APM executive office at info@apm.org and we will modify your subscription email for you.

APM reserves the right to arbitrarily and without notice unsubscribe AOL and Yahoo users from each or all our lists if these addresses are found to be causing a detrimental experience for other users.
